Chris Smalling's loan to Roma may not mean the curtain is coming down on his Man Utd career
Manchester United have officially confirmed that Chris Smalling has joined AS Roma on a season-long loan deal,AS Roma paid £2.7million to bring in the 29-years old united defender to Seria A for a 12 months deal.
the Manchester United defender Chris Smalling spent nine seasons at Old Trafford after completing £10m move from Fulham in 2010.
He made a total of 206 appearances and scored 12 goals as a man united player.
But the England international had been excluded from the 18-man match-day squad for all of United’s squads so far this season.
That’s after the Red Devils broke the world transfer record for a defender to bring Harry Maguire in from Leicester City for £80m.
“The chance to experience a new league, with a big team that has got big aspirations is exactly what I needed.
“Hopefully I can hit the ground running. I’m looking forward to joining up with my teammates.”
