OPINIONS: is Nicolas Pepe a bad market for Arsenal?

Arsenal club-record fee signing Nicolas Pepe struggles for form on the pitch.

Arsenal signed Nicolas Pepe on a club-record fee of £72m despite budgeting only £45m for the transfer but the Gunners

were able to seal the deal to bring the most exciting talents in Europe during the summer transfer window to North London.

Last season, the 24-year-old was fantastic on the pitch making him score 22 league goals and set up another 11, and only the Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe beats his records in Ligue 1.

since coming to Arsenal, however, it seems that He has completely lost his magic charm, his only goal of the season in seven league appearance was a penalty against Aston Villa, and He has made only two assists in all competitions.

Although, Nicolas Pepe looks dangerous in all his premier League Fixtures so far and He has had some brilliance display in each  of his match so far but his finishing touches were absent.

The former Angers forward is still finding himself in the English Premiership side and He is in more examination by fans

than most new signings in the premiership because He is among the most expensive arrival of all time, level with  chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga. And also he is the club's most expensive player.

the arsenal forward Pepe has admitted that his performance is below expectation as his confidence is low.

according to him, "It has not been easy, I must tell the truth," Pépé told RMC (via football.london).

"My stats have not been good enough or my usual performances, it is not the same as Lille or the Liverpool game earlier in the season.

"My confidence must come back. I am not very worried. People may be worried about my statistics but I am not.

"I have to keep working as the level here is different, so is the language. It is a new league for me and I must adapt  quickly. But it won’t take very long."
