Serie A giants Lazio are reportedly interested in signing the Blues' striker Olivier Giroud.
The Chelsea striker has managed to make only seven appearances for the season so far,
scoring a goal on their match against the league leader Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup.

However, a report from Gianluca Di Marzio suggests that Serie A giants Lazio has not only entered the race to sign the Chelsea forward but are also the front-runners.
It is added that Giroud has already agreed on personal terms with Biancoelesti but a transfer to the club will depend on Chelsea being able to sign Dries Mertens from Napoli.

The 33-year-old player is currently the Blues' third-choice forward and it seems very unlikely that he will receive much first-team attention this season from his club.
However, a move to Lazio may not do too much help to Ground in terms of First-team opportunities
as the coach, Simone Inzaghi already has players like Ciro Immobile, Joaquin Correa and Felipe Caicedo.
